Police arrested the 27-year-old suspect Thursday night at his 70 Harrison Ave. home.
Police said the suspect assaulted Officer Scott Richard with a stick.
The suspect, Randolph Lester, frequently wears priest collar and solicits money on street corners and traffic lslands.
Police said the victim was shot once in the abdomen as he walked home with take-out food.
Police said the suspect broke into a vacant apartment on Worthington Street.
One of the suspects, arrested early Wednesday, was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
The shotgun was fully loaded with a round in the chamber.
Police arrested the suspects on Warriner Avenue about 3 a.m.
The living conditions inside the apartment became known to city officials when police responded to a domestic complaint.
The suspect was wanted for a serious assault on a man and his son in Oct. 2009.
